The family of a 22-year-old has shared their absolute heartbreak and devastation after their son had recently passed away under the most shocking circumstances.

According to reports from local media outlets, Timmy Howard died on May 24 after suffering from the most severe anaphylactic reaction.

The incident arose just days after he graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in communication studies, as per NBC-affiliated WJAR.

Timmy’s mom explained to the outlet how he was the most positive, upbeat, and kind soul. He was also said to be on the cusp of living his life.

Patty shared how her son was celebrating his college graduation, but little did the family know that these would be the final moments of his life.

Timmy’s family revealed he had eaten a late-night snack at home that was contaminated, as per the media outlets. His father shared how he came in and woke everyone up. They said he could no longer breathe, and it was at that point that the tragic turn of events unfolded, and he passed away. The family did administer his EPIPen and dialled 911 for help, but it was too late and in vain.
