Shocking, the American Head of State was just nominated for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize by Cambodia for assisting in bringing to an end a deadly war in that region.

Cambodia’s Deputy PM shared the decision on Friday last week, adding how Trump’s role in putting the border dispute to a rest was highly appreciated and commendable.

Clashes between Cambodia and Thailand, who are neighboring nations, reached a peak last week when each of them accused the other of firing first.

At least 43 people lost their lives as a result of the incident, as intense skirmishes continued to occur. This lasted for nearly five days, and more than 300,000 people on both sides of the border were involved.

On July 28, both sides agreed to come to a ceasefire that took place in Malaysia. The conflict slowly died down after Trump called upon Thailand’s prime minister, as shared by Reuters.

This brought an abrupt end to the worst fighting between the countries in the last decade. Speaking to reporters before inside the capital, Trump got plenty of appreciation for intervening, and both sides agreed that he needed to be nominated for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize. Also, this is not the first time that Trump has been called out for embarking upon peace by his intervention. He also hopes to do the same with the ongoing Russian and Ukrainian leaders.
