BREAKING: EU Parliament Passes Ukraine’s Bid To Join The EU With An Overwhelmingly Majority


The European Parliament has reportedly approved Ukraine’s decision to join the EU after the country received an overwhelming majority of votes.

According to local media outlets, leaders of some of the biggest European countries are all set to carry out a meeting where they will reportedly gather together to discuss the calls to formally grant Ukraine a candidate status so it could join the bloc.

The news is believed to come at the right time because Russia is slowly trying to advance toward the country’s eastern Donbas region and that means more trouble for the already war-torn nation that has been at war since February of this year.

But that does not mean that some countries are being all open about the idea. Remember, there are still a number of states that are expressing a lukewarm decision in terms of welcoming the country with open arms.

In the same way, there is another major issue that is related to the entry of Ukraine and that includes the amount of paperwork needed to conduct the accession process means it will most likely be a number of years if not many decades till Ukraine actually can be seen as a member of the European Union.

 Zelensky mentioned to his country that they were just moments away from a historic decision of the European Council and while we do see it being approved widely, there is plenty of skepticism across the board regarding any benefits it could bring to the ongoing turmoil taking part in the country, thanks to Russia.
