A famous theme park ride was witnessed collapsing down to the ground, leaving 11 people injured.
According to reports from local media outlets, the horrifying incident took place in India’s leading amusement parks but witnesses claim the scenes of horror were one that they just can’t seem to get out of their minds.
The ride involved in the incident was the famous slingshot one that drastically fell down to the ground and crashed into the earth at an alarming speed.
Those on board described the scenes as nothing less than a true horror story. And now, they are speaking about how it’s just instilled a new type of fear in them that would not make them want to ride on such rides again.
While sources revealed how such rides tend to pump up users’ adrenaline, who knew that in the end, they would work toward landing them in the hospital, thanks to a major technical glitch?
What is even more shocking is how such incidents tend to arise frequently in theme parks in India. Despite this fact, the authorities are yet to intervene and shut the parks down or carry out proper maintenance checks.
This particular incident took place in an area called Ajmer which is reportedly present in the Indian Rajasthan region.
The ride spins round and round and is destined to instill a new type of thrill into the rider’s life by giving them 360-degree views of the city.
But then all of a sudden, the wire that holds it together broke and the ride came tumbling down and crashed in front of horrified onlookers.
Viral footage from the incident shows riders screaming at the top of their lungs as they are brought to the ground in seconds.
Rescue forces and paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital. At the moment, investigations are taking place to determine how such a major technical fault arose and also who was in charge of the ride.
