The most magical place on planet earth is making people sad after getting more expensive, again.
The Walt Disney Company is hiking ticket prices across the board for its two main US-based theme parks- Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim.
News of these price hikes has left fans devastated as the changes come into effect starting today. This was first reported by the popular Disney-centric news website MickeyVisit.com.
The steepest rise hit Disneyland’s top-tier tickets, with the Tier 6 one-day pass, which is the ticket that’s purchased on the busiest and highest demand days, jumping $18 to a record $224 per adult. This represents a massive 126% rise over the past decade.
This five-day Park Hopper will allow visitors to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure on the same day for up to five consecutive days, climbing from $39 to $655, which is nearly 108% in a timespan of 10 years.
Annual passes also witnessed sharp hikes. The Inspire Key, which is Disneyland’s top-tier annual pass, rose from $150 to $1899, and the Believe Key, which is the second-highest-tier pass, went up $100 to $1474. Disneyland’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which is the park’s skip-the-line service, rose 6.25% to $34 when bought in advance.
