Donald Trump is staying true to his promise of pardoning many of those convicted for their role in the January 6 Capitol Attack.
The pardons could come as early as today when Trump assumes power in the White House.
Trump has been speaking about this day since the start of his campaigns and many do expect him to stay true to his promise while critics urge him to rethink the decision as it’s certainly a very controversial one.
Trump spoke during another separate interview for Time Magazine about how he intended to make the call within nine minutes of taking charge as President of the Country. Whether or not that happens today, only time will tell.
Hundreds pleaded guilty to the crime of inciting serious damage to the Capitol Hill building and instilling fear among the public but only a few hundred of them were kept behind bars.
Vice President JD Vance also spoke on the matter in the past and added how this was a grey area that needed to be revised. When asked if he agreed with the thought of pardoning people for inciting violence on that day, he said no and strongly felt it should not be done.
