Ozzy Osbourne has made a heartbreaking announcement that left his fans devastated amid his battle with Parkinson’s.

The 74-year-old rockstar was previously pictured walking with a cane after revealing in 2020 that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in the year 2003.

While the beloved singer vowed to return to the stage, he now pulled out of the Power Trip festival and canceled his live comeback performance.

According to the musician, the October music event would have to go on without him because he is forced to slow down and listen to his body.

“As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October,” Ozzy announced.

“My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.

“Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.”

The performer went on to reassure the fans that the band will find a replacement for him soon enough while promising that their choice will not disappoint.

“Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continual support. I love you all and I will see you soon. God Bless, Ozzy,” he concluded.

The sad news comes months after the new festival Power Trip was announced and after it was confirmed that the event would be headlined by AC/DC, Metallica, and Ozzy Osbourne himself.

Among other high-profile performers that will appear at the festival are also Iron Maiden, Tool, and Guns n’ Roses.
