President Trump shared on Monday that he would be considering a decision to name the far-left anti-fascism group Antifa as domestic terrorists and previewing a plan to crack down on what he’s cast as a widespread network of left-wing radicals whose main goal is to incite violence.
‘It’s definitely something that I would do, yeah!’- the President boldly declared when asked whether he would be assigning a domestic terrorism label to Antifa, saying he would go and proceed if he found support from cabinet officials and the Justice Department.
It was not clear at first who or what exactly Trump would designate, Antifa is a loosely organized movement who does not have any distinct leader, membership lifts, or structure.
His comments come at a time when there is a host of administration officials who have signaled in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination that they would be busy targeting what they called out as a coordinated left-wing effort to incite serious violence.
