British acting legend Dame Joan Plowright has passed away at the age of 95.
According to reports from local media outlets, the star was married to her fellow acting great Lord Laurence Oliver from 1961 to 1989 which is when he died.
The star’s death was confirmed by her loved ones who shared the news about her passing while being surrounded by loved ones.
She is believed to have enjoyed a life of long and illustrious achievements in the world of film, TV, and theater. But it was blindness that made her retire in the end.
The was one of the most established and acclaimed on-screen stars. She was also one of the four female actors to win two Golden Globes in a single night.
Born in Lincolnshire, she started to appear in plenty of dramas as a teenager and even won a scholarship to train at the Bristol Old Vic Theater School. Her fans were seen sharing some heartbreaking tributes in her honor after the news broke out.
