San Francisco has decided to oppose the suggestion made by President Donald Trump to be next on the list as a target for federal troops.
Trump made the threatening call about deployment to both state and local officials, sparking outrage across the board. This has led to a furious reaction from San Francisco, which called it not only unnecessary but also a move that they were unwilling to entertain at all costs.
Speaking at the White House to the FBI director, Trump shared that he was going to strongly recommend, at the request of government officials, that they start looking at San Francisco and all the unrest taking place there.
He called it one of the greatest cities of the nation that was being neglected due to high crime rates and unrest. Trump mentioned how this was a city that was so great 10 and 15 years back. And now it’s a total mess.
Every American deserves to live inside a community where they are not afraid of being mugged, robbed, murdered, shot, or assaulted – the President confirmed.
But the news is not being taken with a welcoming spirit, as the leaders of the state claim that things are not as bad as the president is portraying them to be. They declined the suggestion and went as far as to state that Trump is pushing on the basis of false and hyperbolic claims of out-of-control crime.
