A number of sources have informed Page Six how the celeb was already on the knife-edge because so many people had joked about his and Jada’s idea of having an open marriage on numerous awards circuits.

Even as he took a seat at the Dolby Theater on Sunday for the Oscars, he had one thing on his mind, and that was the award for ‘Best Actor’ that he was moments away from receiving for all his hard work.

But he is said to have faced another very blunt joke regarding his open marriage with Jada that had him irritated, sources revealed.

One example of the type of humor that many found okay to convey to his side is actor Regina Hall’s attempt to invite several Hollywood hunks towards the stage, adding how Will Smith was already married. But she did give him a special shoutout, adding how Jada had approved so he was certainly allowed to come up on stage.

Meanwhile, one source has even gone as far as mentioning how both Will and Jada have had enough with the ridiculous commentary about their marriage and how so many people found it funny to take jibes at them when it was actually none of their concern.
