Newly leaked test results prove that Olympic boxer Imane Khelif did have male chromosomes, after the International Olympic Committee dismissed the claims as not legitimate and let her take part in the Paris 2024 Games.
Khelif is a 26-year-old from Algeria who won the gold medal after beating other female competitors, but many have raised queries about her biological gender for a long time.
Khelif has long maintained that she is indeed a female and nothing was going to change that.
However, she was found to contain XY chromosomes in a 2023 test carried out by an accredited doctor from India who recently leaked the results on a 3 Wire Sports Show, leaving the world stunned.
The doctor mentioned how the chromosome analysis does not lie, and it was clear that she had the male karyotype.
He mentioned that these are specific to males only and therefore cannot be misinterpreted as anything else.
This is why Khelif was reportedly barred from taking part in the 2023 Women’s World Boxing Championship in India.
