Sha’Carri Richardson was recently arrested and charged with fourth-degree domestic violence assault after a verbal altercation took center stage with her lover and fellow runner, Christian Coleman.
The incident first began as a verbal argument, but it did not take too much time for that to go from verbal to physical in seconds.
The Olympian was said to be traveling to Seattle with her lover when the duo got into an intense fight while leaving the TSA Airport, as per a police report shared by The New York Times.
The arresting officer allegedly shared how the 25-year-old athlete pushed Coleman several times before he fell into a nearby column. Meanwhile, Airport security footage documented Coleman trying to walk away from Richardson, but she kept on bumping into him.
Authorities also reported how she threw a pair of headphones at him. Coleman refused to press charges and declined to be a victim, as per the New York Times.
Richardson was booked at the South Correctional Entity in Des Moines. She was released the next day, as per reports attained by local media outlets. The USA Track and Field shared a statement where they boldly declined to comment on this matter.
