“I Aim To Live Until I’m 120!” – World’s OLDEST Woman Celebrates Her Birthday


The world’s oldest woman is surely making the most of her life as she celebrates her birthday today.

Kane Tanaka is now officially 119 years old and she says she couldn’t be happier.

“I aim to live until I am 120 years old,” she revealed while celebrating with loved ones nearby.

The 119-year-old who hails from Japan was reportedly born 11 years before the start of World War I and for her, it’s a huge accomplishment to be alive today.

Tanaka who currently lives inside a nursing home was seen smiling away as plenty of people caught a glimpse of her, beaming with a bright smile.

She was greeted with plenty of festivities in the Fukuoka Prefecture. In addition to that, she had her family members do all the talking as many people were eager to learn more about her life that began on January 2nd in 1903.

While she’s unable to speak, she loves to communicate with her staff members using gestures. But wait, she’s got plenty of life in her as she still enjoys chocolates and fizzy drinks too.

In addition to that, Tanaka adores solving number puzzles and makes it a point to challenge herself as well, as reported by the Japan Times recently.

The Russo-Japanese war began just one year after she was born and during her childhood, she even got a chance to witness the revolutionary end years of Japan’s Meiji era. That is known to be a period of modernization and transformation in the nation.

In the year 2019, she was hailed as the world’s oldest living person by the Guinness World Records when she was 116.

But in the year 2020, she became the oldest person in Japan’s history which was 117 and 261 days old.

Guinness has also revealed how she married her own cousin when she was just 19 and the duo ran a shop together where they sold plenty of edibles.
