Six people passed away after a small plane crashed into an Ohio neighborhood.
The crash was reported inside the area of King Graves Road and Henn Hyde Road inside Howland Township on Sunday, as per reports from NBC affiliate WFMJ and WKBN-TV.
The Cessna 441 twin-engine went down shortly before 7 am, as per a statement from the National Transportation Safety Board that was obtained by PEOPLE.
Two crew members and four passengers were onboard the plane when it fell down, as per CBS affiliate KDKA. This plane reportedly took off from Youngstown Warren Regional Airport just seven minutes before this crash.
Howland Fire Chief Ray Pace shared how first responders had a hard time attending to the crash site, which was present inside the heavily wooded area.
The plane was on fire when the first responders arrived at the site. The Youngstown Air Reserve Station assisted in extinguishing the blaze.
It’s not clear what led to this crash. The identities of those individuals who were killed have not yet been made public.
Officials described the pilots as being involved in the crash as very experienced, as per NBC News. ‘These were the best of the best in terms of folks here at the field as well as the pilot,’ the CEO for Jets FBO mentioned.
