Terrifying reports are speaking about the death of a man who was smothered to death by his obese wife.
According to reports from local media outlets, the incident took place in Portugal, where the man is said to have been smashed after his 100kg partner fell on top of him.
She is believed to have tripped over something on the ground and then fallen right on top of him, making it impossible for him to get up again.
Local media outlets described the 59-year-old unnamed victim as being slight in build and passing away in his home in the residential district of Campanha, which is situated on the outskirts of Porto.
His wife, who was just a year older and weighed more than 100kg, is believed to have stumbled as she got out of her bed to go over to her lover, who was on the ground beside her.
Neighbors were alerted about the matter by the wife’s screams after she got trapped between the bed and the wall of her home. They rushed to her aid in the early hours of the morning.
Despite managing to lift her off of him, he was already believed to have entered an unconscious state by the time first responders arrived. The efforts of the paramedics were in vain as they couldn’t revive him back to life again. It’s believed he went into a state of immediate cardiac arrest.
