Former US President Barack Obama on Thursday hailed the Gaza cease-fire deal brokered by President Trump, but failed to share that the commander in chief Donald Trump should be given credit.
The glaring ommission of Trump in Obama’s social media post celebrated the end to this conflict and how within sight it was but failed to mention the name of the President, causing MAGA leaders and the president’s supporters to fume.
After two years of unimaginable loss and massive suffering of families in Israel, many shared that they would be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight. All of those hostages still being held would get reunited with their loved ones.
He also mentioned that those inside Gaza whose lives were shattered have been through so much and prayed that this would be the new beginning of something great. “It’s great news for the world community to start the difficult task of rebuilding Gaza and to commit to a process that by recognizing the common humanity and basic rights of people, can give rise to lasting peace”- the post concluded.
The president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, swiftly jumped on Obama for never mentioning the name of his father. ‘I will finish it for you. Thank you, Donald Trump’- Don Jr, mentioned through his platform on X.
‘Couldn’t bring himself to credit the man behind it all, who is my father, Trump. Such a small man you are’- he added.
