Former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama are reportedly heading for a divorce as shared by media outlet Radar Online.

If the speculation is believed to be true, the entire ordeal could cost the couple some huge sums of money.

The couple has so far built a huge profile and a very profitable empire as one. However, any kind of separation might give rise to a costly endeavor, sources shared.

Neither of them have signed a prenuptial agreement. In the past year, the former duo was said to be worth a staggering $70 million which is a far cry from the modest sum of $800K they acquired before shifting into the White House in the year 2009.

The former president earned a base salary of $400K during the eight-year reign as America’s Commander in Chief. After leaving the residence in DC, they ended up picking a yearly presidential pension that totaled nearly $207k.

But both got even more funds for their memoirs, created an entertainment firm to produce content for the popular streaming series Netflix, and even launched separate podcasts. Now, since there’s no prenup, things could result in a huge new battle brewing up.
