American President Donald Trump has left many stunned after carrying out a shocking and shady action at the White House recently.
The official portrait of former US President Barack Obama was reportedly shifted to a less prominent position, underscoring the years-long tensions between the two individuals.
Portraits of other recent predecessors with whom Trump has always had a contentious relationship were also moved, such as George W. Bush and his dad, George H. W. Bush.
Trump was believed to have directed his staff to move those to the top of the Grand Staircase, which means it will no longer be in view from thousands of visitors who tour the White House every day.
One of the insider sources also spoke about how the portraits of both Bushes were present in the staircase area. Several other sources shed light on how the president is directly linked with nearly everything that is related to the aesthetics of the White House. Whether it’s a big change or a small one, it has to come from him.
CNN shared an image of the Obama portrait hanging at the top of the stairwell in the corner, at the landing of the entrance to the private residence. That’s usually restricted to members of the first family, the US Secret Service, and some exclusive members of the White House and executive residence staff.
