The White House slammed former US President Barack Obama on Saturday for suggesting that the Trump administration had played a serious role in ABC’s decision to tank Jimmy Kimmel off the air.
Obama accused the Trump administration of taking cancel culture to a new and dangerous level in a post that was shared through the X app on Thursday.
This included a Vox article in which the lefty media house charged that Kimmel was removed due to Trump, as the President did not like what he had to say about that.
The White House did not like what was being said and shared a statement on this matter. ‘With all due respect to former President Obama, he has zero idea about what he is talking about’- the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt mentioned during an interview with Fox News on Saturday in America.
The decision to fire Jimmy Kimmel and to cancel his show came from executives at ABC. That has now been reported’- the White House official confirmed.
The network put Kimmel’s late-night program on an indefinite hiatus last Wednesday after the comedian went as far as to suggest earlier that week how conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassin was a supporter of MAGA.
