While the thought of disciplining parents of obese or overweight children seems to be a good start to promoting a healthy lifestyle, not everyone is happy with how this one school is behaving.

To charge extra for uniforms is just unbelievably wrong and they’re not going down without up a fight to express their voice.

Moreover, other parents fear that the trend started by one school could soon engulf all others. And the current economic uncertainty in the world just might see parents’ expenses increasing for no reason.

But at the same time, uniform suppliers are making their voices heard. According to them, the taxes are brutal and they’re left with no choice but to take on this decision.

“It’s wrong on so many levels. We don’t think a student should be ridiculed or fat-shamed to such an extent that their parents are forced to pay double the amount for school uniforms than others with slimmer kids!”- one furious parent mentioned and many others couldn’t help but agree.

“These are kids for God’s sake. Don’t pressurize them to this extent that their parents are forced to deal with them harshly for a few extra bucks!”- stated another guardian.

This particular incident had to do with primary and secondary schools situated in the greater part of Sydney. They tried to keep parents calm and justify the behavior by mentioning that it’s the suppliers that are doing this.

Therefore, they’ve been left with no choice but to accept it.
