Former US President Joe Biden shared on Thursday during his second television interview after leaving the White House that he was not surprised that President Trump trounced Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.
‘I was not surprised, not because I did not think much about the vice president as being qualified enough to be president, she is!’- he went on to elaborate.
The ousted Democratic leader mentioned how that if he had not bowed out, he had a sure shot of winning, and many may not agree with this point, but he knows that it’s the truth.
He also pointed to Trump getting seven million fewer votes nationwide than in the 2020 matchup.
‘So many people did not even show up to the elections to vote during the 2024 poll!’- he continued.
Asked by another co-host, Joy Behar, why Trump continues to be so fixated on him and blames him for America’s faults due to the previous administration, Biden replied that he beat him, and that’s a difficult pill to swallow.
