Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is a man unknown to none, but new revelations about his family are leaving people stunned.
According to local media outlets, the billionaire’s father says he had no clue that Bezos was his son until he found out in the year 2012.
The news has sent shockwaves around the globe because Ted Jorgensen mentioned he was indeed the businessman’s biological dad. “I knew he was the world’s richest, but I did not know that he was my son!” he continued.
This is all related to the fact that he and his former wife Jackie Gise welcomed their son when they were just teenagers. But it was only during his 40s that Bezos was told about his real dad, leaving the world stunned.
“We welcomed him into this world in the year 1964. At that time, his name was Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen. Yes, that’s what we named him,”- the dad continued while speaking during an exclusive interview.
But then, moments later, Bezos’s mother opted to file for divorce from his dad and married a man named Miguel Bezos. And that’s where the billionaire gets the Bezos name from.
The father-son didn’t share a bond for around 40-plus years. But Bezos claims to have been thrilled to meet his real dad for the first time.
After finding out more about his son, the father issued a plea to meet Jeff. For him, it was a miracle that his son existed.
“I did not know how he was doing, was he did or alive. There was no information,”- he mentioned in an interview.
By profession, he was a bike shop owner and tragically passed away in 2015. He says that his son was given up for adoption when he was a child, and the only reason he agreed was so he could hope that his child would have a better life than what he had been blessed with.
Little did he know that Jeff would turn out to be the most famous and successful man in the whole world.
