Nicolas Cage, 59, is set to retire from acting after a long and successful career in Hollywood.
The Gone in 60 Seconds star, who added 120 acting and 21 producer credits to his name, is now ready to step down from acting and hand over the reins to younger generations.
As the actor admitted, he is now beginning to cement his pan, whereas he doesn’t have more than three or four movies left in him, meaning that he could be retiring as early as next year after he turns 60.
“It’s starting to solidify. I’m starting to cement my plan. I may have three or four more movies left in me,” the Oscar winner said in an interview with Vanity Fair.
He also explained that he might only have some 15 years left to live – in reference to his father who died at the age of 75 – and that he wants some free time with his family.
“I do feel I’ve said what I’ve had to say with cinema. I think I took film performance as far as I could,” she added.
“What do I want to do with those 15 years, using my father as the model? It occurred very clearly to me that I want to spend time with my family.”
Cage shares sons Weston Cage Coppola, 32, and Kal-El Coppola, 18, with actress Christina Fulton.
He also shares baby girl August Francesca Coppola Cage, 1, with wife Riko Shibata whom he tied the knot with back in 2021.
