Actor and Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell has been hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency.
According to TMZ, the 45-year-old Good Burger star, who is currently looking forward to the release of the comedy/teen movie’s sequel, arrived at the ER in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering an “unknown ailment.”
One source also told the outlet that the actor was aware and alert upon his arrival at the hospital.
While his current state remains unclear, it is said that Mitchell remains at the hospital as of this writing. No details about his release were yet provided.
Just hours before the actor’s hospitalization, Kel shared an Instagram post in which he promoted his Celebrity Squares appearance.
Speaking to his fans, the Nickelodeon actor urged the viewers of the game show to “tune in for a laughter-packed evening with this amazing lineup of celebs!”
He added: “God just keeps me smiling.”
Recently, Mitchell also kept himself busy promoting Good Burger 2 which is set to air on Paramount+ on November 22, 26 years after the original film grossed nearly $24 million.
In the first movie, Kel played a teenage cashier Ed who worked at the Good Burger restaurant while his co-star Kenan Thompson played the funny high school student Dexter Reed.
In the sequel, Kel and Kenan will once again appear side by side as Ed and Dexter, whereas the plot will follow their reunion at the Good Burger fast-food restaurant.
On top of the two actors, stars like Jillian Bell, Carmen Electra, and Rob Gronkowski will also appear in the sequel.
