Singing sensation Kelly Clarkson is shedding light on how she never wished to get married in the first place when asked about how she feels about her divorce from former husband Brandon Blackstock.
The star is making head waves when she speaks about falling into depression and how it was the worst feeling in the world for her.
Clarkson went on to admit how she never wished to walk down the aisle despite saying ‘I do’, adding how knew her heart was right about it from the start. The news was published recently during the star’s latest interview where she added how it’s tragic how the events unfolded.
Brandon had kids and was coming from a very religious background, the star added. She also mentioned how it was super important for him but for her, that was not the case. She happened to be coming from a different background. And perhaps the pair never had the right start.
The songstress says that after years of trying, she gave up. She knew this was not meant for her. She opted to bid him farewell in June of 2020 but little did she realize how he was going to make the split an ugly affair.
Clarkson says she has seen so many broken relationships in her life but what she was not quite aware of was that she was going to go through just that.
“Because I have seen several divorces in my family, I don’t like to put weight on it. If the marriage is supposed to work, it will. But if not, then it won’t”- she explained.
Clarkson did agree that such decisions do take a toll on children and if it were up to her, she wouldn’t have until and unless they were no longer living with her.
