It can be said without any doubt that naming a child is not the easiest job in the world.
Many couples struggle with naming a child and the added pressure that comes with making sure it fulfills other people’s expectations because in today’s day and age if you’re not careful, you could be mocked for life.
Thanks to trolls and some harsh critics, one mother is revealing her absolute heartbreak after naming her children, and the reason why is pretty interesting.
For her, children’s names should be unique and one that other children aren’t named after. Therefore, she did go a little overboard in terms of picking her own kids’ names. They were after the famous Charlie and Lola cartoon that’s showcased on BBC. But little did she know that she’d be the laughing stock.
The fact that she had twins meant the pressure was double on her shoulders. She now had to pick out two names, and not only one. And this was running through her mind a lot.
So for her, the easy way out was probably through this route. While she does have some time before registering the name, she is now having second thoughts about the name and whether or not she made the right call.
“No mother would ever want to see her child be the laughing stock. I do not want people to make fun of my child. Who would ever want something like that?”- she questioned.
Clearly, this was never planned and now that it’s going viral, this mother is asking people for their help on what to do next.
While her partner thinks she is being absolutely ridiculous about the whole endeavor, netizens were quick to assure her that she shouldn’t be so worried about what others had to say or whether or not they had any issues with the names.
