According to him, a baby’s child should never be hard to pronounce and since naming is a debate that both members of the couple are expected to take part in, he’s baffled at why his woman fails to listen to his argument.

Speaking on the online platform Reddit, he begins by claiming how his baby is just three weeks old and according to him, the name chosen by the mother is one that’s sure to ruin her identity. As the father, he does not want something like that to happen.

“The name is a hard one for my mom to say so she calls her Mouse in my native language. It does not work that way and people do laugh. I don’t want my child to suffer at the hands of our mistake. We need to start taking things more seriously and she needs to be open more to suggestions”- he carried on.

The name was a secret for loved ones who were waiting for the perfect moment to reveal it to their families after the delivery. And when they did, a lot of people were having trouble with the pronunciation. It was more a matter of concern with his side of the family than hers who weren’t native Americans and hence struggled with the American accent.

“She couldn’t take my daughter’s name and I was awestruck at what was happening. Why did I agree on this name? I needed to change it before wasting any more time and so I spoke to my wife!”- he mentioned.

But the response he got from her was not a pleasant one. She was not happy and felt he was overreacting. She also thought he needed a reality check because not everything revolved around his mom and the name was a beautiful one. What do you think?
