The love for pets can take some people to great extremes and this next story about a couple is the perfect example.
A woman is sharing her fury and utter dismay after her boyfriend told her that he was more than willing to name their unborn son after his pet cat. And while the decision sounded okay to him, the expecting girlfriend just couldn’t believe what he had to say.
“It was beyond shocked that anyone would even think about naming their baby after a pet. For me, it’s just beyond gross”- the woman adds.
And now that the couple is anticipating their baby’s arrival soon, they’re literally butting heads with the thought of what to do next.
As far as the name is concerned, the man is very willing to call the son Max but the incident is just making his partner more and more furious and she feels like she’s going to grow old trying to convince him that it’s just not okay.
The woman says that she was busy discussing baby names with her boyfriend’s sister and then all of a sudden, her partner calls out the name Max. And just in case that wasn’t enough, he also went on to speak about how it carried special meaning to him because it was his pet’s name.
Interestingly, the woman says the cat was shared with her boyfriend and his ex and that just added more salt to her large wounds.
“It’s just not cool. Their cat was like their baby. This is our baby and I want nothing to do with that name and the significance that comes with it”- the girlfriend continued to argue.
Now, the couple is asking for the internet’s opinions because the expecting mother has given up on all hopes of reaching a common point on names that they’re both okay with.
