The parents of a man who passed away tragically inside his Tesla Model S is bringing forward a new lawsuit that has to do with Elon Musk and his deceptive claims regarding his company.
The parents spoke about how Elon Musk and Tesla are to blame for the vehicle’s autopilot mode that was once designated safe and ready to hit the road.
31-year-old Genesis Giovanni Mendoza Martinez was crushed to his death in the horror crash after his vehicle smashed into a giant fire truck.
The family says that he bought this much-anticipated purchase because he felt that it could drive itself but sadly he was mistaken.
Now, they are suing the organization over false claims about the self-driving technology being perfect and ready to hid the road.
They further explained how Musk and his company spoke about the car being a reasonably safe design after conducting the right test under the applicable state law. They further accused the driver of being negligent on the road and any commissions.
The court filings shared by the family also went on to claim that no additional warnings were provided by the system that would have alerted the driver of what was ahead which Tesla has denied.
According to the family, it’s not fair for Musk and his Tesla company to use the public roadways to carry out their research and development of autonomous driving tech.
