Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has shared his plans for a new offensive in the besieged Gaza Strip and how that it would be an intensive military operation.
He added how the whole operation was aimed at defeating and destroying Hamas, but stopped short of speaking about how much of the enclave’s territory would be seized.
A video message was shared through the X app, where he addressed the Security Cabinet’s approved plans to expand the entire Gaza offensive.
He mentioned on Monday that Gaza’s Palestinian population would be moved for its own protection.
18 months of attacks by Israel on Palestine have resulted in the deaths of nearly 52,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including thousands of young and innocent children. Meanwhile, at least 120,000 people were injured.
The Israeli PM also shared how soldiers from his country wouldn’t go into Gaza, launch raids, and retreat. He shared how that was not the intention, and his plan was the opposite of that.
His comments come as the country’s political and military leaders approved plans to expand the offensive on the Gaza front and take over all aid deliveries to the already devastated and starving enclave.
