An American tourist raised concerns after she reportedly tossed her newborn out of the hotel balcony window in Paris.
The mother threw the infant out of the window moments after she gave birth. Sources claim the police found the dead child with its umbilical cord still attached.
The suspect was said to be 18 years old and threw the baby from the second floor of the Ibis Styles hotel. The hotel is said to be located off the Rue de la Croix Saint-Simon. On average, the rooms cost about 80 pounds a night.
Emergency services took the child to the Robert Debre Hospital after witnesses reported the incident at about 6 am.
The street was closed for nearly five hours after the incident arose as per local police reports.
Emergency services rushed to try and save the child but when they arrived with the remains, it was pronounced dead.
The child failed to survive the devastating fall that arose at about 6 am this morning, Paris time. Now, an investigation is being carried out for homicide for a minor under 15 as per a public prosecutor handling the case.
Sources claim the mother was part of a young group of adults traveling to Paris as a tourist.
