“I Wanted Nothing More In This Life Than To Be A Father”- Single Gay Man Becomes A Dad For The FIRST TIME

While some may have a certain ambition in mind, others are trying to make it past each day with a particular goal. And that’s exactly what brings us to our next story about a single gay man whose lifelong dream was to be a father.

Being gay, life was tough as he never thought he would be blessed with the chance of having his own offspring. But with the advent of advancements in technology, it was not a far-fetched dream by any means.

Due to fertility issues, 44-year-old Shaun Resnik says being in a same-sex relationship means limiting your chance of carrying your own child and that’s where surrogacy came to the rescue.

The Australian citizen who hails from Victoria says he wanted nothing more in life than to share the best moments of his world with his son, a child that he could call his own.

While the journey was certainly quite long and difficult for him, he managed to pull through in the end.

In case you didn’t already know, the rules regarding surrogacy are pretty stringent in Australia, and with so many rules and regulations to abide by, things can be tricky.

But this couple comprised of the most aspiring parents and they never gave up home. After three unsuccessful attempts at surrogacy, they finally got a child of their own- after a 2.5-year-long wait.

This past March, the couple welcomed their first child named Eli and they couldn’t be happier with the biggest blessing in this world.

“It was a birth that represented our struggle but it was truly worth it in the end. He’s mine and I can proudly say that I’m the luckiest dad in the world”- he confirmed.
