A mother from Utah was arrested and is now facing charges for child torture after doing the unthinkable.

According to reports from local media outlets, the mother caused her infant serious injuries because she was not happy with the gender of the child and had always wished for a boy. Therefore, the heartless suspect named Lizbeth Breton chose to steam her daughter’s face.

This left the child with serious burn injuries. Moreover, the mother informed her husband that she was only trying to help her child feel better, and during that process, the baby landed in the hospital.

This put the child under the surveillance of law enforcement, who felt something was not quite right, and they had doubts about possible abuse.

Tragically, their fears were true, and the mother was found guilty of neglect and abuse by the Child and Family Services. She was treated for days at the burns unit in the hospital, suffering in agonizing pain due to her mother’s heartless behavior.

The father also confessed to the cops that most of the mother’s erratic behavior had to do with the fact that she did not like the baby’s gender.
