A woman in England is breaking her silence after losing her stillborn in June.
She says that the ashes that were supposedly said to be of her stillborn at the funeral were actually not, and she found out two years later, after finding the dead child’s body inside a funeral home.
The funeral service was held inside now now-closed funeral home called Legacy Independent Funeral Directors in Hull.
In the course of the police investigation into the funeral director, who pleaded guilty to 35 counts of fraud by false representation, Beverly discovered her son’s remains were found among 35 bodies and ashes of at least 163 people at the premises.
Beverly mentioned how she polished the urn daily, believing it was her child, and added that whoever was in there was loved like they were my own baby.
Bush admitted to providing the wrong ashes to other grieving families as well as neglecting some altogether, between August and March. In the wake of this, Beverley and her husband held a second funeral to lay their son to rest next to his great-grandparents.
This incident has sparked serious outrage across the board and many feel it’s about time the authorities took measures to ensure such heartbreaking things don’t take place again.
