The search for a missing woman who disappeared without a trace while walking her dog continues.
45-year-old Nicola Bulley was last seen on Friday when she was walking her dog along a river path in Wyre, Lancashire, at around 9.15 am.
Sometime during her walk on the small footpath, the woman disappeared, prompting an extensive search in the surrounding areas.
According to the reports, drones, dive teams, helicopters, search dogs, and mountain rescue crews have been searching extensively for days in a bid to find the missing woman.
So far, however, the authorities remain “open-minded” about Nicola’s possible whereabouts. They also launched an appeal for clues that might lead to her discovery.
“Nicola has now been missing for two days and we are extremely concerned about her. Firstly, if anybody saw her on Friday morning and has not yet been spoken to by police, or if anybody has any other information about where she might be, please get in touch with us straight away,” Chief Inspector Chris Barton said.
“Enquiries are very much ongoing and we have a team of detectives working tirelessly to establish the circumstances around her disappearance, in addition to a large team of police officers, partner agency and volunteer groups on the ground searching the area around where she was last seen.”
The chief also revealed that they are currently working on “a number of lines of inquiry” while keeping an “open mind” about the mysterious disappearance.
“We appreciate there is a great deal of concern in the local area and that people want to help, however we would ask that nobody puts themselves in any danger. If anybody has any questions or concerns they are welcome to speak to officers in the area,” Barton concluded.
