The 45-year-old mother was last spotted walking her dog along River Wyre in St Michael’s on Wyre, England, more than a week ago.

While on her morning walk, the woman suddenly vanished without a trace. Her dog and cell phone were later discovered on a bench near the spot marking the woman’s last known whereabouts.

As of this writing, it remains unclear what happened to Nicola, whereas the CCTV monitoring the part of the park where she went missing was not working at the time of her disappearance.

Though the authorities speculated the woman might have fallen into the river before being swept away by the current, Nicola was described by her loved ones as a very good swimmer. Furthermore, her dog was not wet at the time it was found by the river.

The mother’s partner, Paul Ansell, has since spoken out and revealed that her daughters miss their mommy terribly.

“This has been such a tough time for the girls especially but also for me and all of Nicola’s family and friends, as well as the wider community and I want to thank them for their love and support.”

He continued: “We are also really grateful to Peter and his team from SGI for coming up and helping support the work of Lancashire Police as they continue their investigation. If anyone has any information which could help find Nicola, I urge them to get in touch with the police and help us provide the answers we all so badly need.”

The emotional plea comes shortly after Nicola’s father and sister spoke out about the woman’s mysterious disappearance which has since sparked abduction fears.

“Something has got to have been missed. Somebody must know something. People don’t just vanish into thin air,” sister Louise Cunningham told Sky News.

“There has got to be somebody who knows something and all we are asking is, no matter how small or big, if there is anything you remember that doesn’t seem right, then please reach out to the police.

“We just want her home. Her children need her home. It’s heartbreaking. We’re such a close knit family, we’d do anything for any one of us.”

Breaking into tears, father Ernest added: “This has emptied our lives. We appreciate everything everyone is doing to find her. It’s given us hope that someone might find something.”
