A two-year-old toddler from Georgia is currently on life support after getting stung by more than 150 wasps.
Beckham Reed was inside his electric toy car when he accidentally ran over a nest that was filled with Yellowjackets.
The insects continued to sting him, leaving him in a debilitated condition. The two-year-old was said to have suffered from multiple organ failure after running over the nest and getting swarmed while he played in the backyard.
Doctors in the ER Department treated him with morphine and Benadryl and then sent him back home as they felt he was breathing fine. However, his parents rushed him back after he started to turn yellow.
As per the GoFundMe, which was begun by his family, it was his father who managed to rescue his child after he sustained stings of his own and took him to the hospital. But after getting discharged, his father rushed him to another ER as his condition continued to get worse the next day.
The doctors at the second hospital noticed how his organs were getting severely impacted as a result of this, and he was entering the phase of multiple organ failure, with his liver, heart, and kidneys shutting down.
This is when doctors took the decision to intubate him and put him on dialysis while he received IV medications.
