A heartbreaking update on the case of four missing siblings has emerged five days after the children disappeared without a trace.
Siblings Judah El-Hajj, 9, Mikael El-Hajj, 12, Azaiah El-Hajj, 12, and Malaika El-Hajj, 16, vanished suddenly at around 6:45 pm on Saturday after last being seen playing on Earle Street in Doonside, Sydney, Australia.
According to the family, they haven’t heard from the children ever since and their concerns are growing bigger by the minute.
“The children remain missing and police are continuing the search,” NSW police said in an update.
“Information has been received since the public appeal and police are following up a number of lines of inquiry. Inquiries are ongoing.”
Meanwhile, the siblings’ devastated mother issued a heartbreaking plea in hopes of reaching her kids and getting them back home safely.
“My babies’ whereabouts is still unknown!! Malaika, ya albi, please call me in any way possible!! Let me know you’re ok! I just want to hear your voice!” she wrote in a post shared by Islamic Sound Vision.
“It’s ok if you contact me mama, I won’t be in trouble and they won’t put me in jail, I promise! Please call me mama asap, please. I miss you so much my beautiful people.”
The desperate statement continued: “Ya Allah bring my children back to me safe and sound. Protect them and guide them back to me, fill their souls with courage and strength and lead them to my soul.”
According to the authorities, it is believed that the four children could be located somewhere in the Bankstown or Sutherland area.
An investigation into their disappearance remains ongoing.
