One woman is speaking her heart out about how a bumper-to-bumper traffic jam caused her to miss her flight on Air India that was scheduled to fly from Ahmedabad to London.
Sadly, the flight ended up crashing just minutes after it took off on Thursday, June 12.
Sources from local media outlets confirmed that the woman went on to speak more on the matter during an interview with the BBC.
She shared how lucky she was to miss the flight that could have killed her. 28-year-old Bhoomi Chauhan from Bristol in England mentioned how she was on holiday, visiting India, when the incident arose.
She arrived at the airport shortly before the plane’s departure, and the officials of the airline just would not let her board.
‘We left the airport and stood at a place to drink tea, and after a while, before leaving, we spoke to the travel agent about how to get a refund for the ticket’ – she mentioned. But soon after that, she got a call that the plane had gone down.
She was shocked and heartbroken to hear the news and couldn’t understand that the plane that she was supposed to board had crashed after takeoff. There were 230 passengers and 12 crew members on board. While she was so dejected at first for not boarding the plane on time, she later realized that she was given a second chance at life.
