Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers are preparing to bolt from the Big Apple if socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the elections for NYC’s mayoral race.
This might potentially set the stage for the biggest population flight in US history, a shocking and alarming new poll revealed early Monday.
Nearly 765,000 people of the 8.4 million residents who call NYC home are making way to leave. with nearly 9% of New Yorkers sharing that they would definitely leave the city if Mamdani is elected as the 111th mayor. This was a survey cited by Daily Mail today and was conducted by JL Partners.
Sources shared that if those residents were to leave, it would be equal to the population of Washington DC, Las Vegas, or Seattle fleeing the city.
Another 25% of New Yorkers, nearly 2.12 million, mentioned how they would consider packing up and leaving. Among high earners, 7% of those making more than $250k a year would definitely flee.
The news comes after Trump openly advocated for disgraced former governor Andrew Cuomo, warning New Yorkers that they had no choice but to vote for Cuomo, as there was no room for any communist candidate to take charge. He also vowed to spend very little on New York if Mamdani was indeed elected, as the country’s funds would go to waste.
