Mick Jagger is going viral on social media after it was unveiled that he was potentially dating a young woman.
But social media really blew up when it was announced that the woman in question was someone that was more than 40 years younger than him. And now, the star is finally addressing those rumors that have been making heads turn online.
The 79-year-old made it a point to be very blunt about the whole scenario. The duo and his much younger rumored lover are said to be in a relationship since the year 2014.
She happens to be a former ballet dancer that is just 36 years old. Her name is Melanie Hamrick and the news really caught on fire when the press spotted the young woman sporting a ring on her finger. When she was questioned about it, she tried to joke about it and added that it was a promise ring but people knew that was not the case.
The engagement speculation was taken to another height when the ballet star attended an event where she told her friends that she was indeed engaged to Mick Jagger.
The news went viral on social media but either member of the couple failed to acknowledge or deny it. And that led to the addition of more fuel to the fire because people wanted to know more and if the story was real. Now, Jagger is setting the record straight, once and for all.
When Melanie was seen giving a recent interview to People Magazine, she says that the duo’s relationship was very similar to that of horny teenagers.
She accepted the fact that she had a ring but it was for the sake of a promise and not a formal engagement. But Jagger has admitted that they are indeed engaged and he couldn’t be happier about it.
But he feels that the more private they are, the better it is because that’s just the type of people they happen to be. There is yet to be any form of explanation provided in terms of when we can expect a marriage ceremony but fans are over the moon with the news.
