President Trump just shared with the world that he’s doing a major reversal in his decision of recent tariffs for goods and services coming from Canada and Mexico.
On Tuesday, America imposed a 25% tariff on all products imported from Mexico and Canada, which rocked the nation into a new trade war.
But a few days after that, Trump was able to reverse the economic slap down, saying that all products which are compliant with the North American free trade agreement will not experience tariffs.
However, we can confirm that it’s only going to be a temporary change as from April 2, you can see the taxes come into play.
The president shared his decision to add tariffs to imports and that left many stunned and upset, including Canada, China, and Mexico.
Trump also mentioned that this sudden change in decision or U-turn in respect of President Sheinbaum was because her nation of Mexico agreed to his conditions to stop the flow of fentanyl from the southern border.
Canada would be getting another similar extension as described above. We saw Justin Trudeau crying during a press conference yesterday.
As per the USMCA agreement, sources spoke about how Mexico wouldn’t be required to pay taxes on anything that falls in line with the pact.
