Knowing that his family is likely unaware of what’s going on, the father picked up his phone during a live broadcast and called his son to give him a warning.

“As a matter of fact, I’m tracking this so closely now, this is going to go right over my house,” Kammerer said out loud as he zoomed in on the map to view the precise trajectory of the twister.

“Kent, you there, buddy? Hey man, I want you to get down in the basement. We got a tornado warning. I want to make sure you and Cally get downstairs as soon as you can,” he told his son.

After ending the call, Kammerer returned to his job and told the viewers he had to “warn my kids, because I know what my kids are doing right now, they’re probably online gaming, and they’re not seeing this.”
