Kim Kardashian may have thought she was paying tribute to Marilyn Monroe at this year’s MET Gala but that’s not what everyone thinks.

The original designer for the gown is now opening up about what he thinks was the biggest mistake in the world of fashion that anyone could ever make.

The iconic dress was first worn by Marilyn Monroe in the year 1962 and soon after that, we didn’t see anyone else wear it. But then Kim Kardshian stepped into the picture and thought she was doing the former icon a favor by paying tribute to her with her gown.

The social media starlet is said to have lost so much weight just so she could fit into it because it couldn’t undergo alteration.

As captured in the new series of Keeping up with the Kardashians, Kim seems more than excited to fit into the attire. And before you know it, she’s getting her trials done and is soon accompanied by boyfriend Pete Davidson on the red carpet.

While some approved of the move, others felt that it was a big no and a sign of disrespect. In the same way, others spoke about how desperate the celeb was behaving with the move and tried to steal the limelight by walking in Marilyn Monroe’s shoes.

Bob Mackie was the one in charge of Monroe’s dress and has been hailed for his iconic creation for some time now.

“I thought she made a huge mistake. She shouldn’t have been walking in that gown. It was meant for someone else who is no longer in this world. We need to pay respect to legends. Kim is no goddess and we must keep reminding her of that”- the furious designer mentioned.
