Meghan Markle Says She Was Thanked For Her Service To The UK When She Left For Canada

Meghan Markle’s “sacrifice” was not acknowledged until she left for Canada and stepped down from royal duties, the duchess says.

In their bombshell Netflix series called Harry & Meghan, the Montecito couple doubled down on their racism allegations and slammed the Royal Family for not protecting Meghan from the British media.

Meghan also implied that it wasn’t until she flew back to Canada in March 2020 that her sacrifice to the country that wasn’t her own was finally acknowledged.

Sadly, however, the acknowledgment didn’t come from Harry’s family but from the plane crew that accompanied the Duchess of Sussex on her transatlantic trip while Harry stayed in Britain to finalize the details of the so-called Megxit.

Recalling the moment she was allegedly thanked for her service, Meghan said that the head staff member knelt down next to her to share his gratitude.

“He took his hat off and I just remember looking at him. And he goes, ‘We appreciate everything you did for our country,’” Meghan said.

“It was the first time that I felt like someone saw the sacrifice. Not for my own country, for this country. It’s not mine.”

Meghan also claimed to have broken into tears and “collapsed” into the arms of a member of Harry’s security detail when she finally landed in Canada and be done with her life as a working royal.

“I was like, ‘I tried so hard!’ And he was like, ‘I know you did. I know you did Ma’am. I know you did,’” she continued.

“And that’s the piece that’s so triggering because it still wasn’t good enough and you still don’t fit in.”
