Meghan Markle reportedly reached out to dad Thomas Markle after he suffered a stroke and ended up in a hospital.
Last week, 77-year-old Thomas Markle, the father of the Duchess of Sussex, was rushed from Tijuana, Mexico, to a hospital in Chula Vista, California, after suffering a major stroke that left him unable to speak.
It has since come to our attention that Mr. Markle has already been discharged from the hospital.
While Thomas’ daughter Samantha, Meghan’s half-sister, previously blasted her sibling and suggested Meghan “tortured” her father by refusing to speak to him since her royal wedding in the UK, a source claims the Duchess wishes to reconcile with her estranged father.
As the source told The Mirror, Meghan is concerned about her father and wants to talk to him. However, she wants to do so without the involvement of her half-siblings Samantha Markle and Thomas Jr.
“Despite their estrangement, Meghan is concerned. She wants to know if there is any way to contact her father privately, without other family knowing about it or having to get involved,” the source said.
“Meghan can’t contact her half-siblings because she believes they have their own agendas.”
The insider continued: “If she can contact their dad, she wants it to be totally private. It won’t involve Netflix, it won’t involve any photographs and it must not involve any tip-offs to the paparazzi.”
Following his near-death experience, Thomas has also spoken out and thanked the nurses and doctors who helped save his life.
“I feel hugely grateful and know how lucky I am to be alive. I want to thank everyone, especially the wonderful doctors and nurses who saved my life. They are angels,” he said.
“I have been deeply moved by loving messages I’ve received from all over the world. People have been so kind. I can’t speak right now, but I am working hard and will thank people properly when I can.”
Thomas’ medical incident came just days before he was set to travel to the UK to pay his respects to the Queen and attend her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
