Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Archie and Lilibet, are set to receive the titles of Prince and Princess as all members of the Royal Family move one step up in the line of succession after the death of the Queen.
But on the royal website, the Sussex’s children remain the same even though the titles of other senior royals such as Prince William and Kate Middleton have already changed to their new titles.
The former Duke of Cambridge inherits his father’s title and becomes Prince of Wales, while his wife becomes Princess of Wales.
However, Harry and Meghan’s children remain ‘Master’ and ‘Miss’ on the royal website even though they are now a Prince and a Princess as their grandfather has become King.
A Palace spokesperson said that the titles will be changed “as and when we get information.”
It hasn’t been confirmed yet by the Buckingham Palace or the Duke and Duchess of Sussex whether the children will use their titles.
A spokesman for the King said that he had announced William and Kate’s new titles as the Prince and Princess of Wales. The monarch also expressed his love for Meghan and Harry in his first address to the nation as King.
“While the website was updated for the Waleses, clearly updating love on a website doesn’t quite work so we’ve not quite done that but clearly he does love them,” the spokesman said.
“We will be working through updating the website as and when we get information.”
When asked whether Archie and Lilibet would take the titles of Prince and Princess, the spokesperson said: “At the moment, we’re focused on the next 10 days and as and when we get information, we will update that website.”
