Prince Harry reportedly wanted to get a mediator involved in an attempt to close the rift between him and Meghan and his family.

While the Sussexes reunited with the Royals following the Queen’s unexpected death during their trip to the UK, sources suggested little was done in terms of achieving peace.

As royal author and journalist Katie Nicholl suggested in her new book titled The New Royals, the division between the Montecito couple and Harry’s family had been on the rise ever since Megxit in 2020.

Mentioned in the book is also a statement made by a family friend in which the source claimed that Harry met with his father, Charles, earlier this year in an attempt to patch up this rift and start a new chapter.

It is said Charles, who is now king, demanded to speak to Harry before allowing him to have an audience with the Queen.

“The meeting with Charles and Camilla was more awkward than their cordial tea with the queen,” the author explained while revealing the Sussexes were late for the meeting, meaning that Charles only had 15 minutes to talk to them before attending the Royal Maundy Service at Windsor Castle.

The alleged meeting intended to “clear the air,” however, clearly didn’t go as planned because it ended up in one royal spluttering their tea.

“[Harry] actually suggested that they use a mediator to try and sort things out, which had Charles somewhat bemused and Camilla spluttering into her tea,” a family friend said.

According to the new bombshell book, Harry’s suggestion was branded as “ridiculous” by Queen Consort Camilla who insisted they should resolve their issues within the family in order to move on.
