The Duchess of Sussex just experienced an awkward situation when she was completely ignored by a well-wisher when she was trying to shake the woman’s hand.

The interaction between Meghan Markle and the unnamed woman was shared on social media after the former actress and her husband Prince Harry joined Prince William and Kate for a walkabout outside Windsor Castle.

In the video, the woman can be seen turning her head away from Meghan after she tried to shake her hand.

The Duchess of Sussex received a warm reaction from most well-wishers, chatting and shaking hands with many adoring fans waiting to see the royals.

But one woman next to the railing seemed to be unhappy with Meghan’s appearance as she immediately looked away when the Duchess approached her.

The mother-of-two handled the situation incredibly as she simply moved past the unnamed woman and went on to shake the hand of another well-wisher.

The cold reaction of the woman quickly went viral on social media and left people divided. Many slammed the lad for her treatment toward Meghan.

“So this is Meghan Markle trying to shake hands with the British public. She gets ignored, laughed at, and humiliated,” one person wrote.

“Ugh this is horrible. She’s done nothing wrong,” another commented.

“It’s incredibly petty and mean-spirited. To not want to acknowledge someone who’s there to thank you for coming out to pay your respects,” a third added.

Meghan and Harry sparked controversy in 2020 after they stepped down from their royal duties and relocated to the US.

The Sussexes are now raising their two children in their $14 million mansion in California, releasing a series of interviews – during which the former actress claimed that Kate Middleton once made her cry because of bridesmaid dress.

She also claimed that there were conversations and concerns about how dark her son’s skin would be.
